2 Chainz Robbed At Gunpoint, Shots Fired

UPDATE: Sgt. Dennis Toomer confirms to VIBE that 2 Chainz was indeed the victim of the robbery despite conflicting earlier reports that a member of his entourage was the victim. Contents stolen from the rapper included a wallet, credit cards, cash and cell phone. The robbery is still under investigation. 2 Chainz faced a close call yesterday afternoon when he was robbed and shot at in San Francisco. According to TMZ, the SFPD responded to a shots-fired call just after 4:30 p.m. The Atlanta rapper reportedly said his wallet was stolen, but was uncooperative, insisting on handling the situation himself. After reviewing surveillance video, police confirmed that Chainz was the intended target. The San Francisco police sergeant says Chainz’s entourage “ran away from the incident like cockroaches running from a flashlight.” Let’s hope this situation doesn’t escalate any further. —Alley Olivier
