Aaron Marshbanks Passes Away, Lincoln NE, Investors Diversified Services (IDS) Former Board Member:

On May 9, 2022, Aaron Marshbanks passed away.

On December 19, 1932, in Lamar County, Georgia, he was born to parents Theodore Arthur Marchbanks and Ethel Miller Marchbanks.

He lost his mother and father, two sisters (Ruth Chilton and Amelia Walker), daughter Caroline Coston Lilley, and husband (Travis Coston) and sister-in-law (Melba Epps) before she did.

Without her, her children would be raised by Mike and Gency Fortenberry, Susan and Bubba Coston, and Richard and Trava Drake. Cory Fortenberry, Jacey Caroline Lilley, Ali Coston, Kyle and Renee Coston, Ellie Grace Ables, Cari Dees and Sam, and Aaron Ables are the proud grandparents. Cord Dees, Judah Dees, Mason Bouleware, and Kenley Coston are the great-grandchildren of Travis and Jaci Coston. Beverly Rodgers, Ross Lee Miller, Nancy Enloe, and Beverly’s sister-in-law were among the many friends, nieces, and nephews in attendance.

We’d like to express our gratitude to everyone who helped take care of Dad and Mrs. “C” in their final years, but we feel especially indebted to Terry Hudson, Maria Howell, Ellen Stephens, Jana Leverton, Cindy Caban, Loretta Wakefield, Alzie McCarty, Helena Bowling, Hope Robertson, Kari Lemons, and Lisa Follmar.

A number of the new family she helped find a home for became fast friends with her. During that period, she was an active member of the Paris Board of Realtors. In 1988, while she was doing laundry at home, Travis called his to inform his that she needed to report to the concrete factory office.

Leaving aside her entire life, she made her way to 155 East Oak Avenue, the headquarters of Coston & Son Ready Mix, where she would spend the next two decades or more overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations. While she was still actively involved in factory operations up until Travis’ death, she quit her job to care for him when his health began to deteriorate.

She stated that his jobs were his greatest joy and love. His entire life, she had attended First Christian Church in Paris, Texas. She put up much effort to fulfill his roles there, which included vice-chairman of the board, board chairman, deacon, chairman of the elders, trustee, chairman of the Trustees, chairman of worship, and aiding the younger members of the community. The nickname “powerhouse in the pantsuit” for her stuck with him well into his senior years of life. Our “Meme” will be forever known as a hard worker who insisted on perfection in all of their job. She was a loyal and trustworthy companion, mom, and wife. His work ethic was unparalleled, and as a result, she left his family a heritage of tenacity, determination, and loyalty. After serving on the board of Investors Diversified Services (IDS), Aaron Marshbanks of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away.
