Bill Murray will be bartending at 21 Greenpoint this weekend
Bill Murray has turned up at bachelor parties, crashed engagement photos, and rode into a late-night TV appearance on horseback, and his latest endeavor will find him serving Brooklynites drinks.
The actor will be bartending on Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. ET at 21 Greenpoint, a new bar opening in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood that’s owned by Murray’s son, Homer.
“We want people to come and have fun,” Homer Murray told Eater. “People can walk in; just be nice.”
Homer Murray and fellow 21 Greenpoint owner Syd Silver are opening the space in the place of their last venture, River Styx. And while patrons most likely won’t mind, he warns that his dad might not be as skilled in mixology as your typical bartender.
“What my dad lacks in experience,” he says, “he makes up for in tequila.”
