Early Life
Kristin Kreuk is a Canadian actress who was born in Vancouver on December 30, 1982.
She is the daughter of Peter Kreuk, a Dutch immigrant, and Deanna Che, a Chinese immigrant. She has a sister whose name is Justine Kreuk.
Kristin Kreuk attended Eric Hamber High School and graduated with honors. She has Dutch and Chinese ethnicity which is as a result of her parents.

Education
In terms of her educational background, Kristin Kreuk competed at the national level in karate and gymnastics until high school, but she had to stop due to scoliosis in grade 11.
She was preparing to study forensic science or psychology at Simon Fraser University when she was approached by a casting director for the CBC television series Edgemont at her high school.
Career
Kristin Kreuk played the lead role in the movie Snow White: The Fairest of Them All, which was later released on DVD in 2002, after successfully filming the first season of Edgemont (the teenage soap-opera set at a Vancouver-area high school) and earning herself an agency.
Kristin Kreuk was cast as Tenar in the Sci-Fi Channel’s two-part miniseries Earthsea in mid-2004. Robert Lieberman directed the miniseries, which was produced in Vancouver and broadcast on December 13, 2004. The series, which was set to be shot in Vancouver, follows Clark Kent as a teenager before he transforms into Superman.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar invited Kristin Kreuk to apply for the role of Lana Lang, Clark Kent‘s first love, at WB Studios in Burbank, California, and she was cast. She was a regular on both Smallville and Edgemont for a period. However, her position on Edgemont dwindled over time. Edgemont‘s run ended in 2005. Kristin Kreuk left Smallville at the beginning of 2008 when her character left town after seven seasons. She returned for five episodes in the show’s eighth season as a guest star to wrap up her plot.
Kristin Kreuk joined Chuck for a multi-episode plotline in season three in 2009. After being let off from her prior employment, she joins the Buy More Nerd Herd as Hannah, a computer troubleshooter.
In 2010, she starred as Tirzah Ben-Hur, Judah Ben-sister, Hur‘s in the television film Ben Hur, which premiered in Canada and was then broadcast on ABC in the United States.
Two pilots that Kristin Kreuk was involved with were not picked up: a 2010 CBS sitcom called Hitched (co-created by Josh Schwartz, who was also the creator of Chuck) and a 2011 NBC drama series called 17th Precinct, which was produced by Ronald D. Moore.
Kristin Kreuk was cast as the lead female role in The CW’s Beauty & the Beast Revival in February 2012, which was picked up on May 11, 2012, and premiered in Fall 2012. In October 2015, The CW confirmed that the show’s fourth season, which would air in the summer of 2016, will be its final season. On August 25, 2016, the series finale aired.
In 2018, Kristin Kreuk starred as a “big-city lawyer who takes on a case for a group of sick kids in her hometown” in Burden of Truth, a CBC Television production in which she acted as “big-city lawyer who takes on a case for a group of sick girls in her hometown.” On January 10, 2018, the show debuted.
On April 5, 2018, the CW announced that they had bought the rights to telecast the show starting in Summer 2018. The Burden of Truth has also been renewed by the CBC for a second season, which will begin filming in June 2018.

Kristin Laura Kreuk enjoys spending time with her family and friends and lives a very private life. She was in a beautiful long-term relationship with actor Mark Hildreth. She is not married.
She is currently based in the city of Toronto. She has described herself as a “shy” individual who prefers to live a “boring life.”
