Nissan Pavilion To Collect Water And Food For Hurricane Relief
(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —
Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, VA is teaming up with local organizations to collect bottled water and non perishable food items at two weekend concerts for Hurricane Katrina Relief. WMZQ and the Capital Area Food Bank will be on site at both the Alan Jackson and Marc Anthony concerts on September 9 and 10 respectively. From 5:00-8:00 p.m. citizens may drop off sealed bottles of water and non perishable food items at Nissan Pavilion. Aquafina, a corporate partner of Nissan Pavilion, will match all donated bottles of water up to 12,000 bottles.
“We are looking to help any way we can and this weekend presents our first opportunity. WMZQ has done a great job of working with the Capital Area Food Bank to get set up and on site to collect donations,” said Bruce Edwards, general manager of Nissan Pavilion. “I also want to extend thanks to Aquafina for stepping up and matching our patrons donations”.
Donations are not limited to patrons only. A second collection truck is scheduled to park at the pavilion entrance gate so the general public may easily access a drop point without entering the venue.
