Bullock shared some of her favorite workouts in an interview with InStyle. She says that she likes to do a lot of outdoor activities to stay in shape, usually when she's at home. "When I'm in Austin, I run," she says. Running is a great workout. Better Health states, "Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can: Help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise. Strengthen muscles. Improve cardiovascular fitness. Burn plenty of kilojoules. Help maintain a healthy weight."
Bullock also told InStyle that she also enjoys biking in Austin. Better Health states that biking has a lot of benefits. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Bullock revealed that she wants to take a break from acting to spend more time at home with her two children. "I can be creative," she says. "I can be part of a community. But right now, work in front of me needs to take a pause." Bullock admits that she's not sure how long her hiatus will be. Bullock is one of many celebrity clients who trains with Simone De La Rue, the creator of the Body By Simone method. De La Rue talked about her approach to working with clients in an interview with Women's Health. "I work out a crazy amount—too much! I work out alongside my clients to motivate and inspire them. I used to do up to seven clients a day, but now I do three to four. But if I weren't being paid I wouldn't work out five hours a day!"
De La Rue shared some of the workouts that she does with Bullock in an interview with Health. She says that she has the actress do plank-inspired and other ab workouts. De La Rue says that she has Bullock do the Superwoman exercise. "It targets the muscles in the shoulders, along with those in the upper back and chest, for long, lean definition," she explained.
Bullock has a busy schedule. However, she always makes time for a workout. Her Bird Box co-star, Trevante Rhodes, told Entertainment Tonight that Bullock worked out each day prior to filming. "The truth is, before set everyday, she would show up in her workout/ So she works out every day." Bullock also told InStyle that she tries to be as consistent as she can with exercise. "If I can workout every day, I will."
Bullock is known for being one of Hollywood's most charitable celebrities. In 2018, she donated to The Humane Society to help animals evacuate their homes from the California Wildfires.
