Sarah Rafferty is an American television and film actress. She is known for her role as Donna on the USA Network legal drama Suits.

Sarah is the daughter of Mary and Michael Rafferty. She is married to Aleksanteri Olli-Pekka Seppälä, with whom she has two children. Aleksanteri is of Finnish descent. Her cousin is politician Colin Bonini.

Sarah’s paternal grandfather was Michael Griffin Rafferty (the son of Charles Henry Rafferty and Julia Griffin). Sarah’s grandfather Michael was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Charles was the son of James Rafferty, who was born in Pennsylvania, to Irish parents, and of Margaret J. Clark, who was an Irish immigrant. Sarah’s great-grandmother Julia was also Irish.

Sarah’s paternal grandmother was Barbara Abigail Flaherty (the daughter of John Joseph Flaherty, Jr. and Alma Gray Furbush). Barbara was born in Boston, Massachusetts. John was the son of John Joseph Flaherty, Sr., whose parents were Irish, and of Abbie S. Lunderkin, whose parents were from St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Alma was the daughter of Newell Emerson Furbush and Edith E. Gray, and had deep paternal American ancestry, and maternal roots in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Sarah’s maternal grandfather was Dr. Rupert Hermes Friday (the son of John Aloysius Friday and Anna/Ann/Annie Mary Hermes). Rupert was born in Pennsylvania, and was of German descent. John was the son of John Henry Friday and Frances/Francisca Fuches/Fuchs. Anna was the daughter of German parents, Peter/Petrus Hermes, from Irrel, and Anna Mary Rupert/Ruppert.
